Week 5 Reflection:

This was a very challenging task. I had over ten bibliography annotations and that was a lot of information to try and identify themes from.

I was not sure how to go about this and watched the accompanying videos, I also conducted some other Google searches. In the end, I decided a colour coded marking was the best way to identify themes. This took a while because I had to re-read the document a couple of times. I copied only the annotations to a blank page. From there I read each one and took notes of the words that were mentioned. I then created headings that I thought were appropriate, for example, 'touchscreen' was classed under Digitilsation, and 'Socialise' was classed as Community Figure 10.

Initially, I had 8 headings

  • Digitalisation
  • Community
  • Problem Solving
  • Computational Thinking
  • Education
  • Employment
  • Creativity
  • Personality

I then re-read it and colour coded the themes with the intention of selecting the top five themes Figure 11. The full document analysis is in Figure 12, Figure 13, Figure 14, Figure 15

  • Digitalisation
